Born and raised in metropolitan Singapore, the old boy writing to you is no couch potato or IT geek but also not the hyper-outdoorsy type. Frequenting between tropical island Singapore and Asian cities to earn my keeps as a creative consultant, asphalt jungle is my territory, dressy shoes, trusted running shoes and all-weather-all-terrain sandals to go with it.

Despite the perennial city love, I was born with the travel bug and as often as my work schedule and I can afford, I would take a trekking or beach-going excursion to the rural outskirts, or simply enjoy a morning 3-mile run and stroll in the neighborhood.

Like 70-80% of city-dwelling adults, I may get athlete's feet and foot aches from time to time. To stay away from foot ailments and to stay athletic, I change between a few pairs of shoes in the day, and wear a pair of airy sandals whenever I'm not meeting my clients and for weekends. I chose a pair of Crocs sandals made of lightweight polyurethane for the hot, humid weather in my hometown and during the summers in cities I travel to. I love its quirky looks, it's light and airy, and most importantly it doesn't hurt my feet and my pocket!

Now I have just returned from my May Day weekend at the fabulous Siloso Beach of Sentosa — enjoying walks on the soft sandy beach that's very therapeutic, dips in the cool, blue waters, and sips of Martini-on-the-rock in between — with my two feet up, of course! Now more than ever at 40 years old, what's happier life without happier feet? On this note, it's time to rejuvenate my feet and body once again... with my weekly session of footbath and massage.

    Cheers,
